Do You Ever Play The Blame Game?

Genesis 3:12

The man replied, “It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it” (NLT).

Prayer: Thank the Lord that He has set the example for not placing blame, by sending Christ to take the blame for all of us. Ask Him for the wisdom and courage not to pass the buck, but to take responsibility for your actions instead of blaming others.

Action: Throughout the coming week, try keeping track of how often you are tempted to blame your spouse for something when you were really at fault, fully or partially. Talk together about what you are learning about placing blame where it belongs. (For discussion questions, see page 264 in Appendix A.)
