Proverbs 3:35
The wise will have glory for their heritage, but shame will be the reward of the foolish (BBE).
Prayer: Thank God for the life of a man like John Wooden and ask him for the commitment to practice the kind of wisdom Wooden lived as a coach, teacher, and spouse. Ask him to help you learn how to work through mistakes and misunderstandings, small or not so small. Ask him to help you both work just a bit harder to love and respect, always remembering that ongoing success in marriage takes character—the kind that comes from the Lord.
