Those Who Pray Together Learn to Love and Respect Together

Luke 18:1

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart (NKJV).

Prayer: Thank the Lord for the blessings that are always available in prayer. Ask him for the wisdom to know the difference between “yes,” “no,” and “wait awhile.” Praise him for himself, not for benefits you may think you want.

Action: If you are used to praying together, keep it up, with renewed commitment to obey Jesus’ command. If praying together has been difficult, try making a concerted effort to pray together once a day for a week. Then discuss how it is going and what each of you can do to make the other feel more comfortable. (For discussion questions, see page 227 in Appendix A.)
