As you know, marriage between a husband and wife reflects the image of God on earth (Genesis 1:26, 27) and reflects the Christ and Church relationship (Ephesians 5:32). What a high call and majestic privilege!
To book a live conference you need:
- A venue that holds at least 1200+ adults with an additional room that will hold 300+ for overflow seating
- Weekly worship service adult attendance of 5K OR willingness to partner with other churches in your community to reach a minimum of 5K adults
- A senior pastor and team who know first-hand, the Love and Respect message based on Ephesians 5:33, and who will attend with their spouses. The sheep follow the shepherds!
- A recognized leader who serves as the point person to direct the in-house promotions
- A volunteer team to help facilitate the conference weekend
- A guarantee to calendar this as a church-wide event with no competing events that fatigue staff and laity thereby working against both church-wide events
- A professional sound and video projection system
- A strategy to get the word out to the community via the media
- A commitment to show one and two minute video clips (from our presskit) at weekend services for 6 to 8 weeks leading up to the conference
- A budget for a major church-wide event
- A pledge to create Love and Respect small groups after the live conference
Why the 5K adults in weekly attendance? Our experience confirms in order to fill 1200 seats at a live conference, we need to draw from 5K adult attendees. Since we are limited to the number of live conferences we can do each year, we want to make the most of every opportunity the Lord gives us, ministering to as many marriages as possible at every conference!
The good news is, if you don’t have 5K adults in weekly attendance, you can still host a conference by partnering with other churches in your community, making this a city-wide event. Think of the impact you could make on the marriages and families in your city. We believe this mission is a worthy one and has the potential to make a difference in the lives of people for generations to come. We would love the opportunity to talk with you about how we can help you accomplish this goal.
Because Emerson was a senior pastor for almost 20 years, he knows one of the main concerns is always "how much will it cost the church?" If you are willing to do the above items, a staff person will discuss ways to bring the life-changing Love and Respect Conference to your church and community. Love and Respect Ministries (501c3) has established a pro-rating approach that allows your church to cover all the hosting expenses!
Our Conference Team includes a Marketing Department to help you promote the event throughout the region. The Love and Respect Conference Directors will partner with your staff and volunteer team to help with all the critical details that ensure an outstanding event. Each attendee receives a conference notebook. Additional Love and Respect resources will be available for purchase at a discounted rate.
